WALTA Coach of the Year 2019

Coolsportz coach Lianne Candappa won the Warwickshire LTA Club Coach of the Year Award 2019 at the annual regional dinner in February 2020. This is the second time Lianne has won the award in less than 10 years. Lianne wasn't expecting to win the award so, it was a lovely surprise.

Ferran Redza won Junior player of the year 2019 at the WALTA awards in February 2020. Alongside his coach Lianne Candappa, they were both very surprised at being awarded player and Coach of the year. Lianne has coached Ferran since he was 2.5 years old , and  now he is nearly 13!

...has been introduced to try and encourage more girls and women into sport.

Judy Murray launched it at the end of 2016 and has been training Ambassadors to go into schools/brownies/clubs to train up Activators. The Activators will then teach girls in the 'She Rallies' style and hopefully they will then join a club and play tennis.

Lianne is a  trained Ambassador and now training local Activators in Warwickshire to try and spread the love of the game!

Lianne will soon be tutoring Rainbow and Brownie leaders, watch this space....

Paint them. Hide them.

Find them.

The new international craze has hit Warwick - thanks to Lianne, who is always looking for new and innovative ways to get young people active. And this is a great way to get children and families out and about, hiding and finding the stones other people have painted.

Lianne has set up a Facebook group - Warwick Rocks CV34, UK - for people to share pictures of their stones and clues! Everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Just search for & ask to join the community page...950 members and counting!

Lianne is the first to point out that she was hit by the sporty and not the creative gene - she leaves that to her 8 year old daughter!
