Meet the Coaches

About Us

Name: Neil Supperstone
Qualifications: PE, Sports Science and Management Hons degree, CCA tennis (Level 4), Rugby Level 1, Football Level 1, Multi-skill coach, Tri Golf, Good practice and Child Protection, Equity in your coaching, Disability Discrimination Act tutor, First Aid and CRB Checked. Positive Behaviour Management Training.

Experience: Previous Sports & Tennis Development Officer for Birmingham City Council. Head Coach of Billesley Indoor Tennis Centre managing a team of approx 12 staff. Lecturer in Sports Development & Tennis at Loughborough College.

Interests: Specifically tennis, football and rugby - plays for Henley in Arden tennis club, supports Liverpool Football Club and thinks he is generally cool!

Achievements: Have played tennis, football and rugby as a youngster at county level and played rugby at Twickenham. Running tennis and community sports programmes in Sydney and ran multi-sports holiday programmes in Western Australia for indigenous and non indigenous participants. Have taken Warwickshire College Tennis Team to the National Finals on two consecutive years.


Name: Lianne Supperstone
QUALIFICATIONS:
Level 4 Tennis Coach, Equity in your Coaching, Crb checked, First Aid Qualified & Positive Behaviour Management Training.
EXPERIENCE:
Coaching for 8 years at various Tennis Clubs, and for the last 4 years at Warwick Tennis Club as Head Coach.
INTERESTS:
Specifically Tennis, as well as most racket sports. Supports Liverpool Football but not for the last year or so as we are doing so badly!
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Represented Warwickshire, England and Great Britain with tennis as a junior and currently playing for Warwickshire County Week in July.
Reached the top 16 in Europe under 16 and travelled to many different countries including France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Israel and many more. Reached the top 4 in Great Britain under 16 and Number 1 in England.
Grew up, trained, and travelled with Andy & Jamie Murray as a junior!
Received Coach of the Year Last Year (2009) in Warwickshire.
Not going to get into the argument with the other coaches about who is the coolest, as im so far ahead of them!
Under 10 Girls Warwickshire County cup captain



Name : Rob West

Qualifications: Level 3 Tennis Coach, Football Coach (level 1). CSLA coaching award, National Diploma in sport development, fitness and coaching, First aid and CRB checked. Positive Behaviour Management Training.

Experience: Coached and assisted with tennis at Henley in Arden tennis club over the past two years. Have recently carried out tennis, multi-skills and tri golf sessions in primary schools during curriculum and after school across Warwickshire. I have also assisted in the Coolsportz Holiday Camps and gained experience in working with many different ages and abilities. I am currently helping assist with coaching cricket at stratford upon avon cricket Club.

Interest: My main sport is cricket and i play at a high level (SEMI-PRO) for stratford-upon-avon CC and played for the County when i was younger. I have played tennis for Henley in arden tennis club for the last 4 or 5 years and i enjoy playing and watching other sports such as golf, rugby and even snooker (depending on what mood i am in!I) Im sure i must be the coolest coach, because clearly there is only one Rob 'cool ' West.


Name: Rob Tattersall

Qualifications: Senior Club Tennis Coach (level 4), Bsc Environmental Geoscience from University of Birmingham. CRB checked, First Aid, Equity in your Coaching.


Experience: Coaching tennis for the last 6 years at several clubs and centre's. Most recently Head coach at Billesley Indoor Tennis Centre with a team of 8 coaches.


Interests: Most racket sports but specifically tennis and badminton both of which I played to county level as a junior. These days when not on a court I can be found on the golf course whenever it's sunny. Support Sheffield Wednesday football club (Thanks Dad!!!)

Name: Joshua Treacy

Experience

Assistant Tennis Coaching at Henley Tennis Club and assisted with Coolsportz holiday camps.

Interests

Those who know me best know that my main hobby is sleeping, but in between naps, I like to play and watch tennis and basketball. I also enjoy listening to music and reading. My favourite football club is Birmingham City FC!


Name: Elizabeth Holding

Qualifications: Level One Tennis Coach, Level One Hockey Coach and umpire,
First Aid, Safeguarding & Protecting Children, CRB Checked (plus loads of
Human Resources, health and safety and employment law qualifications which
are too boring to mention)

Experience: I have played, umpired and coached for many years in hockey and
recently completed my level one in tennis. I play both sports at Warwick
Sports Club, and I have played hockey for Gloucestershire and Berkshire.

Interests: In between transporting my two sons to all kinds of sporting and
social events I try and find time to work, play for Warwick Ladies Hockey
team, do lots of gardening and growing vegetables, cooking and looking after
our cats, fish and chickens .... and obviously I spend a lot of time being
cool too!



Name: Ben Beishon

Qualifications: Tennis leader award, Community tennis coach (level 2), A levels: English Language, English Literature and Psychology, Safeguarding & Protecting Children, First aid trained and CRB checked.

Experience: I have coached and assisted on court for 5 years at Henley Tennis Club and being a qualified coach for the last 2 years. I have worked on multi-sports summer camps, weekly tennis programmes and ran hitting practices at Henley Tennis Club, Henley College and Warwick Tennis Club. I have also worked alongside my school in creating and managing the after school activities and homework club, called 'THE HUB', at Stratford upon Avon High School, which received a grant to support the club from the local council.

Interests: My main sporting interests are cycling and tennis and I work in both areas (tennis coach and bike mechanic). I have always been more interested in learning to teach others rather than myself and my own game. I have lost many matches to 5 year olds but this is what makes me the coolest coach by far.
